Some 3 dimensional projections of different price behaviour surfaces are revealed for AOL common shares. In addition to the dimensional information in these surfaces, they contain all of the spectra data from the multi-spectral analysis stage. Complex surfaces, involving higher order patterns of the multi-spectral analysis and the multiple dimensional geometric projections, are developed for AOL in the following pages in this section.
Volumetric Price Behaviour Surface
This is a piece of the Volumetric Price Behaviour Surface for AOL. The high ridges represent price levels associated with high transaction volume. The tinting of the surface indicates if the volume was associated with rising or falling prices, with warm colors indicating falling prices. Blue indicates price levels associated with rising prices, while levels where buying and selling were roughly equal, while show as grey or black. The intensity of the color gives a gauge of the imbalance between the competing moods of fear and greed in the market psychology.

Trend Reversal Price Behaviour Surface
A different analytical concept generates the Trend Reversal Price Behavior Surface. Here the height indicates the number of trend reversals that have occurred at the various price levels. ( A trend reversal occurs a price run of consecutive rising prices or falling prices comes to an end. ) Tinting shows if there was a preponderance of positive or negative reversal at a particular price level, with warmer colors warning of negative reversals. So a red layer shows a level where upward trends have often died, (resistance levels), while blue layers show support levels where downward trends have been halted.

Livermore-Lefevre Price Behaviour

A concept based on the ideas of Jessie Livermore and described by Norman Fosback, attaches significance to price movement that occur on low volume. Presumably these can give a clue to the existence of certain types of insider manipulation. This projection produces a surface from the quotient when the price movement for a session is divided by the volume for the session. |
